Greetings Great Americans! Last week, we discussed the diplomatic aspects of the Ukraine situation with a senior recently retired Foreign Service officer.

This week, we shift more to the military aspects on the ground in Ukraine.

I am joined by West Point graduate and US Army (retired) Lt Col Kevin Wright. Kevin is a regular military affairs expert on the nationally syndicated Capt Matt Bruce radio show, and we are lucky to have him with us for this program.

My discussion with Lt Col Wright begins at about the 22-minute point into the show, and after a bit of short Ukrainian history, we get into the meat of our discussion.

Lt Col Wright brings up an interesting point - that in some respects Ukraine is like a colony trying to gain independence from its mother country, Russia. As Americans - that's an interesting perspective to ponder.
